John Middleton (born at Lincoln, 24 December 1956) is an English former football goalkeeper who played for Nottingham Forest and Derby County.
==Career==
Middleton started his career at Nottingham Forest, playing 90 games for the club between 1974 and 1977.〔(Nottingham Forest : 1946/47 - 2009/10 )〕 After being replaced in goal by Peter Shilton, Middleton was sold to Derby County as part of an exchange deal for Archie Gemmill.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Derby County's All-Time XI )〕 He played 73 league games for Derby before being forced to retire due to injury.〔(Derby County : 1946/47 - 2009/10 )〕
